Blindness and disrepair are not the only conditions that can turn old cars into road kill. In some cases, cars were simply abandoned due to financial hardships or other personal problems. The Colorado Rapids Police Department recently made history by recovering a nearly century old car that had been sitting on the side of the road since 1977. The car had sat in a field for 27 years until a University of Colorado student found it and decided to restore it.
