The Volkswagen Bus is a classic 1960’s era vehicle. Buses are fun, unique, and eminently collectible, but the restoration process is not for the faint of heart. This is the story of how I brought my VW Bus back to life. For several years I have been collecting parts for this 1963 model 23 window bus, originally owned by an old friend. Its original color was lime green with ivory white interior. Funds were limited so the restoration progressed in fits and starts over the course of 13 years.
